TCM Code-Modulation Technology

This chapter analyzes the principle of trellis-coded modulation (TCM) in detail, focuses on the structure of a grid-coded modulator, summarizes the design method of the grid-coded modulator, analyzes the performance of the TCM system in terms of the error probability and coding gain of the grid-coded signal, and provides a hardware implementation scheme for TCM-coded modulation.
