Nd-Fe-B-Based Sintered Magnets
摘要
Neodymium (Nd)-iron (Fe)-boron (B) sintered magnets were invented in 1982. They have the highest performance of any industrially manufactured magnets. Nd-Fe-B-based sintered magnets not only exhibit excellent magnetic properties but are also suitable for mass production. Therefore, they are used in many applications, especially in high-performance motors. This chapter provides basic knowledge to understand Nd-Fe-B-based sintered magnet, including typical characteristics, Nd2Fe14B compounds, phase diagram of the Nd-Fe-B system, manufacturing process, and efforts to achieve higher performance.
