摘要
The beginning of the twenty-first century witnessed unprecedented development of chemical biology as an emerging discipline. More and more chemists in traditional disciplines are collaborating with biologists in the field of chemical biology. With a focus on solving scientific problems and developing research tools, such research has significantly promoted our understanding of complex living systems. They utilize what they are good at—chemical synthesis strategies, chemical reaction techniques, and small molecule probes—to label, modify, and chemically intervene in biomacromolecules and the living systems.
