Management of Respiratory Problems in Children with CHD
摘要
Respiratory disorders may present acutely or in a more insidious manner in the setting of different underlying heart conditions. Post-cardiac surgery complications such as atelectasis, pulmonary edema, or effusions are commonly encountered, especially when the surgery requires a cardiopulmonary bypass. While these are considered acute respiratory issues and are primarily managed within ICU setup, other acute or chronic respiratory problems might be encountered and require assistance and help from a pulmonary specialist.
