Cancer Therapy-Related Cardiovascular Complications in Children and Young Adults

Cancer treatment includes chemotherapy medications, radiation, and surgical interventions, which all could lead to many cardiac complications. Some of them can be acute during or shortly after the therapy and others could appear many years after completion of therapy. Most common cardiac complications are listed in Table 1. In this chapter, we will discuss most common cardiac complications in brief, with more details on anthracyclines.
