Fetal Interventions
摘要
With advancements in fetal imaging, there is better understanding of the human fetal cardiovascular physiology and circulation as well as the progression of abnormalities during fetal development that are related to the brain, heart, and lungs in presence of congenital heart diseases (CHD). Further, these advancements in fetal imaging have also allowed over the years to improve the accuracy in diagnosis of congenital abnormalities, including those of the heart, significantly. Thus, offering treatment to the human fetus before birth became applicable and practical for many specific conditions in which the outcomes could be modified and improved during and after the prenatal period by fetal interventions.
