Management of Non-cardiac Emergencies in Pediatric Cardiac Patients
摘要
A wide range of cardiovascular-related manifestations might necessitate patients to visit the pediatric emergency room (ER). The front-line pediatric ER physician must be proficient in assessing, diagnosing, and caring for patients with cardiovascular manifestations, ranging from the initial presentation of congenital heart disease (CHD) to the life-long follow-up management and non-cardiac presentations that may influence their care and special needs. The main focus of This chapter is to provide a pathway as an asset to emergency physicians and cardiologists in the management of cardiac patients from arrival to the Emergency room until disposition to pediatric cardiology definite care.
