Physicians working in emergency room (ER) or intensive care unit (ICU) settings face many cardiac emergencies such as cardiopulmonary arrest, shock, arrhythmia, cyanotic spell, cyanosis in neonates, and congestive heart failure. Structural congenital heart diseases (CHDs) require often emergent intervention in the early days of life to prevent death and to decrease morbidities.
