Palpitations Management
摘要
Palpitation is a common complaint among pediatric cardiology referrals. It is defined as a subjective feeling of rapid beating of one’s own heart. Some children and adolescents perceive palpitations as strong or irregular heartbeats at times of excessive sympathetic stimulation. It can represent a diagnostic challenge or lead to unnecessary extensive workup. A stepwise approach can be helpful to exclude the presence of pathologic arrhythmia and guide subsequent management.
