Management of Children with Pulseless Limbs Post-Cardiac Catheterization

摘要

The incidence of arterial injury post-cardiac catheterization varies from 1% to 50% of the cases depending on multiple factors. Pulseless limbs following cardiac catheterization post-arterial puncture have variable mechanisms, including spasm, local thrombus, endothelial flap, dissection, avulsion, or a combination of these. The best management is prevention by taking following points into consideration during cardiac catheterization planning and procedure as they may help to reduce the risk of vascular injury significantly:
