摘要

Right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) stenting may offer an advantage over other palliative options (PDA stenting or modified BTT shunt) because it provides antegrade pulmonary blood flow through the native outflow tract and does not distort the pulmonary arteries (PA). Although transcatheter techniques have previously been described and performed as an initial approach for palliation in patients with severe RVOT obstruction and significantly reduced pulmonary blood flow, such as in patients with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), these interventions did not gain widespread acceptance. This was mainly due to two following reasons:
