Occlusion Devices for Cardiovascular Disease

With the deepening of the understanding of various cardiovascular diseases and the continuous development of diagnosis and treatment technology, all kinds of occlusion devices are more and more used in clinical treatment. Specifically, the devices used in five major applications, the atrial septal defect, the patent foramen ovale, the ventricular septal defect, the patent ductus arteriosus, and the left atrial appendage occlusion, are examined critically. In this chapter, we will give a general overview of the occlusion devices of the above five cardiovascular diseases.
