The fundamental framework to describe the global dynamics of the Universe is the general theory of relativity, one of the most profound theories in physics. But what we need is some basic tools of the relativity theory, which relates to the cosmological distance and spatial volume. We briefly introduce them in this Appendix. This is not intended to be a complete introduction to the general relativity, and the most rudimentary knowledge is supposed, as four velocity, etc.
