Novel Nutraceutical Milk Compound in Alzheimer’s Prevention
摘要
Alzheimer’s disease gradually affects the nerves in the brain and leads to gradual memory loss. It is prevalent among the elderly and has negative effects on the elderly and the cognitive, social, and economic development of society. The incidence of Alzheimer’s disease continues to increase all over the world; thus, it was important to use preventive treatments to reduce the risk, and the best was proper nutrition, especially dairy. Studies have shown that milk for all animals, including goat’s, buffalo’s, human, and camel’s milk, contains proteins such as casein and lactoferrin, a glycoprotein, in addition to fatty acids and vitamins such as vitamin C and vitamin D, in addition to minerals, the most important of which is calcium, a naturally integrated food unit. Studies have shown that there is a relationship between calcium and vitamin D, as well as lactoferrin, in milk and ascorbic acid, in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, especially in the middle stages of the disease, because of their antioxidant effect, increased immunity, reduced infection, and reduced inflammation, that lead to a reduction in Alzheimer’s disease.
