Thermal Properties of Liquid Metal

This chapter presented a set of thermal property data for low melting point alloys based on gallium or bismuth. Specifically, four most commonly used metals, such as pure gallium, Ga-In, Ga-In-Sn, and Bi-In-Sn, are selected to provide reliable data source for heat transfer designing. Properties including density, heat capacity, thermal conductivity, and viscosity are provided in tables and equations for the convenience of programming; figures illustrating the comparison of these properties are also presented to give a quick knowledge of their temperature dependency. All the data have been compiled through rigorous literature review in order to provide a reliable source to thermal engineering designers when these low melting point metals are used as heat transfer fluids.
