摘要

The debate of globalization has been intense over the years. Anti-globalization is about strong arguments about costs and damages associated with global competition whereas globalists emphasize its benefits through global opportunities. This article examines the globalization debate from a historical perspective. The scope and scale of globalization and the counter argument (i.e., anti-globalization) and their impacts are considered. The role of populism on the globalization debate is highlighted. Lessons are summarized and implications are discussed.
