  • Lucy Keneikhrienuo Yhome

摘要

Ecotourism serves as a platform for Indigenous Naga communities in addressing climate change while seeking economic development. The chapter examines the intersection of ecotourism, Indigenous environmental populism, and government involvement in Nagaland, India. The section analyzes how the ecotourism industry in Nagaland serves as a potential representation of Indigenous people providing the center with a particular interest in the state of Nagaland as a resource hub of the economy. It emphasizes a New Populism that can uplift the economic conditions of local communities and measures to maintain ecotourism without compromising it as a consumerist industry.
