Exploring the Economic Nuances of Charitable Giving
摘要
Economics is welfare-oriented, emphasizing optimal resource allocation and distribution to improve social well-being. Economic expansion normally improves living standards, but it can also exacerbate income inequality. The economic system (capitalist, socialist, or mixed) influences production and distribution decisions. Philanthropy and charitable giving, viewed as wealth redistribution methods, can help to reduce inequality and poverty. In India, philanthropic activities are deeply rooted and have developed tremendously, but poverty endures. Greater openness and better use of donations are required to attract charity giving. Overall, philanthropy provides a noncoercive way to increase allocative efficiency and social welfare.
