Nanointerventions for the Detection of Fungal Livestock Diseases
摘要
The field of nanotechnology offers potential solutions for early detection and intervention of fungal infections in veterinary medicine. By integrating biological and non-biological systems to create intelligent therapeutic delivery devices, it is possible to detect and treat diseases at the nanoscale before macro symptoms manifest. Fungal infections can cause systemic diseases that can affect multiple body organs, and antifungal drugs are commonly used to treat such infections. Despite advancements in vaccine development and biosecurity protocols, the persistence of animal diseases poses a threat to animal health, food safety, the economy, and the environment. Mitigating the risks associated with animal diseases is crucial for ensuring animal health, profitability of farming operations, and sustainability of animal agriculture. The current chapter will enlighten diverse nanointerventions towards sensitive and precise detection of fungal diseases of livestock.
