Nanotechnology in Bacterial Livestock Disease Diagnosis
摘要
Trending nanotechnology has gained popularity in various research including health care, agriculture, and veterinary science. It has become an attractive and feasible option for rapid diagnosis, subsequent directed therapy, antibiotic stewardship, and control of diseases. The proficiency of these nanomaterials is due to their unique physicochemical properties and biocompatibility. Various conventional diagnostic tools viz. isolation, biochemical, serological, and molecular characterization of pathogens are though commonplace, but often pose intricacy where nanomodalities can enhance the diagnostic efficacy. Moreover, nanosensors offer rapid and animal-side diagnosis to widen their clinical utility. Therefore, the current discussion is focused toward various nanomaterials which have already ushered ample promise with escalated sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of livestock bacterial diseases.
