Nanotechnology in Preventive Management of Miscellaneous Livestock Diseases

摘要

One of the most significant sources of revenue is thought to be livestock worldwide. The productivity and profitability of the livestock farming system is significantly impacted by the reproductive efficiency of farm animals. Applying several tactics, such as biological, hormonal, nutritional, and reproductive illness control, are the foundation of optimal reproductive management. The introduction of nanotechnology applications in cattle farming systems can offer creative and fresh approaches to resolve problems with reproductive ineffeciencies. Using nanotechnology, a variety of medications (hormones and antibiotics), biological substances, and nutrients can acquire novel physiochemical properties. The key advantages over conventional versions include enhanced bioavailability, increased cellular absorption, regulated sustained release, and reduced toxicity. Therefore, the current chapter will outline the potential nanotechnology applications towards enhancing the reproductive performances of farm animals.
