Biosystematics of Heteranthelium

Heteranthelium is a genus with a single species (Heteranthelium piliferum) that has special morphological profiles in Triticeae, such as opposite supernumerary spikelets. In the manner of disarticulation of spikelets, a normal flower at bottom and an infertility flower at the top, it remotely resembles other Triticeae genus.
