Biosystematics of Henrardia

摘要

Henrardia is a specific taxon, so scholars have had different opinions on its systematic status and classification attribution for many years. In 1842, Italy botanist Antonio Bertoloni classified the specimen of hair collected by CononelChesney near the Euphrates River in Iraq (exorisEupharates) in 1837 into the genus Rottboellia named by the wheat botanist Christen Friis Rottboell denominated as Rottboellia pubescens Bertol. In 1853, in the study of specimen No. 2914 collected by Aucher Eloy in Southern Iran (Persiaaustrali), and in 1837, the Swiss botanists saw that the sessile spikelet of this taxon was semi-embedded in a cylindrical spike-stalk and classified as Lepturus, denominated as Lepturus persicus Boiss. In 1923, AimeeCamus of France classified it as Pholiurus, designated as Pholiurus persicus (Boiss.) A. Camus. Until 1946, British botanist Charles Edward Hubbard thought that Lepturus Persicus Boiss and Rottboellia pubescens Bertol are two closely related taxa. It is not appropriate to put them in Rottboellia and Lepturus. A new genus should be established to deal with classification problems, to commemorate the botanist JanTheodorHenrard in Holland. He named this genus by his surname, which is called Henrardia. And combine Lepturus persicus Boiss into Henrardia. Persica (Boiss) C E Hubb: combine Rottboellia pubescens Bertol into Henrardia pubescens (Bertol) C E Hubb E. Now it seems that the treatment is correct. Henrardia with leaf ear, caryopsis has a ventral trench and a crown, mononuclear starch, chromosome base 1n = 1x = 7. Although cross-compatibility is not good between Henrardia and other genera of Triticeae. Hybrid plants were obtained by cross with Eremopyrum orientale. These results indicated that it should belong to an independent genus of Triticeae.
