Representative System and State Structure
摘要
In modern democratic politics, the popular sovereignty is a highly abstracted and generalized form of the democratic content. Therefore, in my view, the popular sovereignty is impossible to be practically implemented until it has been transformed into civil rights and reified as the state power and functions of the state organs. Correspondingly, the representative system, as the basic system for the realization of democracy, is also a highly abstracted and generalized form of the indirect democracy, which, by extension, contains plenty of practical contents in the political life of democracy. In other words, only when the representative system is reified as various institutions and organizations, and by coordinating the relationship between them, can it truly be a basic approach to the realization of the popular sovereignty. Therefore, if the popular sovereignty can only be realized through the process of decomposition and transformation, the same is true for the effective operation of the representative system. Therefore, the purpose of discussing the relationship between the representative system and the state structure is to analyze how the representative system is transformed and decomposed into specific organs and organizations.
