Control and Fault Characteristics of the Half-Bridge MMC

The MMC is composed of three upper and three lower bridge arms. The upper and lower bridge arms of each phase form a phase unit, and each bridge arm is composed of a bridge arm inductor L0 and N submodules (SM) which are connected in series. The DC side of MMC is connected with the converter level wave reactor Lsm and the DC cable, and the AC side is connected with the transformer and the AC system. For modular manufacturing purposes, the submodule parameters and arm inductance of the six bridge arms are the same.
