Advancements in Green Nanocomposites: A Comprehensive Review on Cellulose-Based Materials in Biocomposites and Bionanocomposites
摘要
With an emphasis on cellulose-based components in biocomposites and bionanocomposites, this thorough overview examines the most recent developments in green nanocomposites. As the need for environmentally friendly materials and concerns about environmental sustainability grow, cellulose-based nanocomposites are emerging as viable substitutes in a number of industries. This work offers a methodical review of the synthesis techniques, characteristics, and uses of cellulose-based nanocomposites, emphasizing their potential in the packaging, automotive, building, and biomedical industries. Incorporating cellulose nanofibers, and nanoparticles into biopolymer matrices is covered in detail in this paper, along with the principles underlying their improved mechanical, thermal, and barrier properties. In addition, it looks at how processing methods and reinforcing agents affect the functionality of cellulose-based nanocomposites. The evaluation also discusses the difficulties and potential outcomes related to the commercialization and broad use of these sustainable materials, highlighting the need for more study in areas like scalability, cost-effectiveness, and end-of-life issues. This review is an invaluable tool who are interested in creating and applying green nanocomposites for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
