Lignin-Based Rubber Composites and Bionanocomposites
摘要
Lately, rubbers or elastomers have acquired a highly important role in daily life. They are part of many inputs of great industrial importance. These rubbers require processing that can modify their mechanical properties. In this aspect, products from biomass are attractive due to their low cost, renewable and that allow the application of environmentally friendly methodologies. In this context, lignin is an opportunity to obtain new materials with specific properties. This chapter presents the main characteristics of this natural product and its application as a stabilizer of rubber nanocomposites, as flame retardants, production of antioxidants, applications in agriculture and also in 3D printing.
