Social casino games form the second example of convergence between videogames and gambling. These games allow players to engage in simulated versions of traditional gambling activities with virtual chips, and boast a number of social features and other engaging design features. In this chapter, existing empirical research regarding social casino games is summarised, as well as discussed from the perspective of children.
