摘要

In the Czech Republic, measures for criminalising hate speech have been developing throughout the past three decades. Steps taken by the government, legislators, police, Prosecutor General's Office, high courts and the Constitutional Court, as well as NGOs, have provided considerable improvement. International bodies and their monitoring of situations have played a significant role. The cases connected with members of the National Resistance movement, several members of Parliament and selling of items connected with Nazi ideology, led to positive changes. Mass media have played an important role, especially in connection with Roma minority situation, migration crisis and the current war in Ukraine.
