It specifically examines the interplay between the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the evolutions in the eastern Euro-Atlantic region, and the resurgence of discussions surrounding the potential utilization of nuclear armaments by certain states. The overarching conclusion suggests that the European security framework is experiencing transformative shifts, raising the possibility of a potential emergence of a new “iron curtain.”
