The chapter deals with Kepler’s work on optics. It considers the overall structure of Kepler’s Optics of 1604, The Optical Part of Astronomy; Kepler, Galileo, and the telescope, Kepler’s Dioptrice (1611), analysis of the Galilean telescope (including the final section: κρύψις).
