Ultra-Flexible Organic Electronics
摘要
Flexible electronics have much attracted to realize biomedical applications for their flexibility and conformability. To improve these characteristics, reducing Young’s modulus of material itself or thickness of the device is very effective. In recent years, it has been reported that devices can be made thinner than a few μm to achieve high skin conformability. In this chapter, we introduce ultra-flexible organic electronics which were fabricated on the 1 μm-thick plastic substrate. The ultra-flexible organic electronics do not show any degradation after crumpling test. These ultra-flexible organic electronics can be applied to the stretchable electronics by integrating the pre-stretched elastomer. The detail of the fabrication process and device structure is also explained. In addition, we introduce the bio-signal measurement applications of ultra-flexible organic electronics. Finally, the breathable nanomesh sensor will be introduced. The breathability of the device is very important for long-term continuous measurement of bio-signal. We will introduce the detail of the nanomesh sensor and explain the biocompatibility of the sensor.
