In this chapter, we explain the most important strategies and their elements for building strong employee retention in companies. The focus is on planning and establishing measures that foster a sense of belonging and emotional identification with the employer, as we believe these are the foundation for sustainable and profound employee retention. Furthermore, we will clarify the differences between the terms “employee motivation,” “employee engagement,” and “employee satisfaction,” which are often confused or used synonymously in practice. Since there are new empirical findings from a 2024 study on the topic of “work atmosphere,” we have also taken a closer look at this very important subject in this chapter. As in every chapter, we address the New Work implications in this phase, with a focus on hybrid and remote work. Finally, we provide best-practice examples, checklists, and examples for measurement using key figures and KPIs, as well as for collecting relevant data and information for this phase.

摘要
