How to Address Massive Bone Defects
摘要
Massive bone defects are defined by the presence of a critical glenoid bone loss associated to a medium-to-large Hill-Sachs. A positive bony apprehension test can raise the suspicious of a bony-mediated instability. 3D VRT CT scan is the gold standard for quantification of bipolar bone defects. 3D printed technology could improve the planning and facilitate the shaping of the graft intraoperatively. Anatomic reconstruction of bipolar bone defects should be always attempted.
