This chapter presents concrete strategies for controlling impulse purchases and sustainably changing one’s own consumption behavior. Mindfulness is introduced as a key concept for making conscious purchasing decisions. Practical methods for self-control, such as deliberately delaying purchases or avoiding purchase triggers, are described. Another focus is on financial organization: those who structure their finances and develop a clear awareness of their expenses can gradually free themselves from the consumption spiral.
