Compartment syndrome is a very common complication following successful revascularization of arterial occlusion, which is why the indication for fasciotomy should be made generously from the outset. In contrast to the chronic form, acute compartment syndrome is a clinical diagnosis. Instrumental measurement of compartment pressure can be performed as a supplementary measure, but the clinical findings are paramount.
