Every vector space V  has a basisB. A basis is a minimal generating system, in other words, a linearly independent generating system, i.e., a basis B generates the vector space, and no element in B is superfluous. By specifying a basis, a vector space is completely determined. In this sense, bases will be useful to us: Instead of specifying the vector space, we specify a basis; this then also determines the vector space.

摘要

Every vector space V  has a basisB. A basis is a minimal generating system, in other words, a linearly independent generating system, i.e., a basis B generates the vector space, and no element in B is superfluous. By specifying a basis, a vector space is completely determined. In this sense, bases will be useful to us: Instead of specifying the vector space, we specify a basis; this then also determines the vector space.
