Everybody is constantly talking about evolution. Some use the word in the sense of “personal development”. Some think of “strategic decisions”. Others plainly mean (hopefully good) “progress” or even some sort of “improvement”. All of these meanings interpret quite generously what we understand by biological evolution in a sociological sense. “We”, at this occasion, are Charles Darwin from the English Midlands and his intellectual heirs (◘ Fig. 8.1).
