This chapter deals with the presentation of the Cognitive-Phenomenology debate in its basic features, by defining fundamental terms (such as “phenomenality” and “cognition/thinking”) and subsequently presenting central lines of argument in the debate. At the end of the chapter, it is demonstrated why an introspective-empirical extension of the debate can be meaningful.
