Our knowledge about humans is still very limited. A perennial dispute is the question of the extent to which genes, i.e., program components, determine us. And to what extent external conditions and influences have shaped us. One example is human language, which invents concepts and metaphors. Another is human understanding. Sciences cannot plausibly explain why we are capable of this, and where our high flexibility comes from. The search for genes has not led any further here. AI can formulate sentences, but it does not have its own understanding, it processes data. If it were truly intelligent, it would have to possess independent degrees of freedom and thus receive a social status.
