The type, extent, and intensity of violent behavior are influenced by a multitude of different factors. In addition to specific learning experiences, aspects of socialization, and neurobiological factors, cognitive aspects and the individual style of emotion management are particularly important. Another major focus of the chapter is the correlation between domestic violence and psychopathological phenomena.
