In the treatment and/or counseling of individuals who commit violence, communication aspects are of central importance, in addition to safety-critical factors. Chapter 13 therefore addresses the topics of language barriers, questioning techniques, therapeutic attitude, motivating interventions, as well as para- and non-verbal aspects in offender counseling.
