This chapter deals with the future-oriented area of the application of virtual reality, extended reality and augmented reality in surgery and potentially also in robot-assisted surgery. All of these technological elements are only made possible by the emergence of artificial intelligence and are gradually finding their way into the operating theater. This also includes digitally processed CT images. The chapter provides an important overview of the future application of these technologies in robotics and, above all, in current education and training.
