Anatomy of the Anterolateral Abdominal Wall with Regard to Stomas
摘要
In this book the anatomy of the anterolateral abdominal wall is addressed also in ► Chap. 47 , In this chapter, in addition to the description of the four large, flat muscle groups (rectus abdominis, external oblique, internal oblique and transverse abdominis muscles), the anatomical conditions and details in the area of retromuscular dissection are specifically addressed. The minimally invasive approach to the retrorectus layer has been revolutionized in recent years, but poses major challenges for the surgeon regardless of the procedure chosen. Practical tips as well as the description of preperitoneal fat distribution are intended to provide assistance in robot-assisted procedures for the treatment of ventral hernias.
