Human history is full of examples of how the obvious is not examined neutrally and exhaustively, but gradually and in ever greater detail through the lens of worldview and scientific thought. Robotic-assisted repairs of the abdominal wall represent a new milestone in the history of surgery. With a sharp and unwavering image that reaches into the realm of sub-macroscopy, console surgeons can now explore exciting anatomical details that were previously undervalued. This advancement inspires the development of new, more precise procedures. Currently, in the context of the transversus abdominis release (TAR), the question arises anew: do we truly understand the anatomy we are dealing with?
