Explantation of endoscopically implanted meshes from the inguinal region is a particularly complex procedure. This chapter provides the reader with a comprehensive overview of the preoperative clinical diagnosis and clarification as well as the indications and contraindications. The individual steps of robotic-assisted mesh explantation are described against the background of avoiding complications (collateral lesions and vascular injuries) as well as the corresponding preparations for the procedure. The surgical technique is described in detail.
