In the first and main part of this work I presented a transliteration, reconstruction and translation of the Gilgit Dīrgha-āgama text Māyājāla-sūtra, No. 18 in the Dīrgha-āgama manuscript, as well as an overview of its content. The text of the sūtra is in a seriously deteriorated state, but the massive repetitiveness helped immensely, and now it is the single fully reconstructed text of the Dīrgha-āgama. It is the meaning of the text that presented difficulties.

摘要

In the first and main part of this work I presented a transliteration, reconstruction and translation of the Gilgit Dīrgha-āgama text Māyājāla-sūtra, No. 18 in the Dīrgha-āgama manuscript, as well as an overview of its content. The text of the sūtra is in a seriously deteriorated state, but the massive repetitiveness helped immensely, and now it is the single fully reconstructed text of the Dīrgha-āgama. It is the meaning of the text that presented difficulties.
