Electrochemical Metallization of Stochastic Polymer Lattices for the Production of Bionic Cell Structures
摘要
This work focuses on the electrochemical metallization of stochastic polymer lattices with a thick copper coating for the fabrication of bionic cell structures with a high metal volume fraction. The lattice structures generated by the Voronoi algorithm are additively manufactured using stereolithography and then electrolytically coated, which results in improved mechanical properties. Based on previously determined influencing factors from the manufacturing process on the mechanical properties, a two-level full-factorial experimental design is carried out to identify the influences of the lattice design and the manufacturing process on the resulting mechanical properties. A linear description model is used in this first exploratory study to investigate the quality characteristics of maximum bearable force, specific energy absorption and equivalent structural elasticity. Neither a cell size effect nor an effect based on the random distribution of the origin points for the lattice generation could be determined.
