摘要

With a view to relativistic mechanics, but in particular to the covariant formulation of electrodynamics, and later of general relativity, we must avail ourselves of a more compact and general mathematical notation. In this chapter we introduce the Minkowski space, and take a look at the properties of Lorentz transformations from a more mathematical point of view.
