This chapter argues that an examination of the political constellations around Trump cannot be adequately discussed without including feminist struggles and the current political-discursive developments on the topic of sexism and sexual harassment. The author analyzes how the sexual counterrevolution fueled by Trump in the US imbues the claim to the availability of the female body with new legitimacy and thus simultaneously restores and consolidates the old, heteronormative gender order with all its asymmetries and male privileges. The article reconstructs the public handling of sexual assaults on women and relates this to Trump’s sexist actions and statements. This reveals a now publicly manifest sexism in US politics, which, following a twisted logic, produces effects of offender relief both legally and discursively. The normalization and trivialization of sexual harassment, which receives massive support from the inherent anti-feminism of the Trump base, has led to an increased cultural acceptance of overt male empowerment over abused and misused female bodies.
